He said 1200, I was going to use it for some parts. But that is before I saw the pics. I would allmost hate to cut up the car. If I get it I might restore it to haul the kids in. He said its a 38 deluxe but the hood sides are from a 39 standard.

does it have the running gear??? $ 1200 is not out of line...probably could get $4000 at hershey resale....go for it...

The motor is in the truck next to it. He said it has juice brakes. Every thing is there but the motor. Stainless and hood sides are in the car. Windsheild and drivers window wre busted out in a storm.

Maybe not a 38 Deluxe unless that right rear fender is a replacement. Deluxe had twin tail lights, rear bumper guards, also a horizontal trunk handle on that base. Sure looks more like it's 39 standard. Might be a costly resto if rusted through the floors and frame, but that price isn't bad at all for what we're seeing here on the surface of things. Go for it!

Floors are good the car was redone in the late 70's and sometime in the 90's they had a storm that tore the roof off the barn. He was very sure the truck was not for sale. He still wants to fix it up. From what I gathered it wont.

I could use the fenders off that truck. $1200 for the tudor isn't bad with out having seen it in person, there are probably $1200 worth of parts there if you get the compete drive train and all.

He had told me it was a 38 deluxe and I was going to use it to make my 38 standard coupe body a deluxe coupe. They are not much different the 38 deluxe and 39 standard. Might still do it.

They don't make them anymore, so getting a good one for a reasonable price is rare and 1200is allot of money, car looks restoreable. The frame could be an issue.

Bart, You seem to have a talent for getting your 37's, 38's, and 39's mixed up! I bet if you'd told this guy you were building a '40, he'd a told ya the two tone color scheme was only in '40.

"What we have here is a failure to communicate."
You got a '39 Standard here.

I figured out it was a 39 standard when I saw the hood sides in the car. The frame is in good shape.

I am going to just fence on what I am going to do with it. I realy want to use it for my coupe and turn it from a standard to a deluxe. From what I have gathered I will have to change cowles and every thing will bolt up. And 38 deluxe and the 39's sedan rear fenders were the same as the coupes.
