Is #2 exhaust port toast?

Just bought a new exhaust manifold to replace a cracked exhaust. Old one in bad shape, looks like it’s been welded at the crack - pix attached. There’s lots of soot/carbon in and around the exhaust ports, too. Looking in #2 exhaust port I can see what looks like a piece broken off - pix attached. #4 port looks like it might be headed that direction, too - pix attached. # 1 &# 3 ports just look sooty. Hoping one of the engine gurus on this forum can tell me if this is major or cosmetic. I recently dropped the oil pan and cleaned it out and bolted it back on and fired up the engine after that to check for oil leaks. Started ok and sounded ok, no oil leaks - did notice the manifold crack and soot leak then. (Don’t know why I didn’t see the crack before I bought the car, but probably had “new Model A blindspot syndrome.”)

Thx for taking a look at my pix of the exhaust ports. Your answers really reduced my stress level. Was afraid I'd have to spend paint money on engine work. As for the carbon, plan to work that next. Found the GAV wouldn't rotate - was stuck at seat in carburator. Took carb apart and cleaned and cleaned sparkplugs, too. Plugs were all carboned up. Other than that I didn't see anything wrong with carb, but I am totally new to this. Learning by trying.
