To all in Iowa and the surrounding states (further away if you are so inclinded), I would like to invite all A owners to bring their car to the Iowa Model A Day on August 21st at Amana, IA.

I traveled all of Iowa in the 80's and I miss those trips. Brats festival in Manchester, Ice fishing in Mason City. I have never been deer hunting but I hit two in less than 3 weeks period of time driving between Decorah and Waverly. My choice of weapon Toyota Camry.

Tin Cup - Sorry to say, but we here in Amana have a very dense deer population too.

Speaking of Iowa travels; my wife and I are admirers of craft beers. Did you know the oldest micro-brewery in Iowa is Millstream Brewery right here in Amana? And it is only a block from where we park the cars! I recommend the Schild Brau Amber.

Oklahoma isn't too far away to attend, is it?

Sounds like fun. I have not driven my A that far yet as we are in NW Iowa, would be a fun drive though!

Thank you to all for the compliments and for attending last year's event. Our monthly club meeting was held this past Tuesday, and we had our sign up sheets for working the show filled by the members present at said meeting.

As mentioned in my first post, we encourage sending in the pregistration. But also on the web site is "Scheduled events" which is the official broshure for activities scheduled over the weekend.

One more thing, we got confirmation yesterday from Elizabeth @ Classtique that she will be giving a demonstration on Friday afternoon and Saturday doing Model A upolstery on one of our club member's seats.

Looking forward to seeing everyone. Just so you know, after you leave registration you will be directed to have a photo taken; I will be the one taking the photo (I did last year too). Say "Hi" when you get there.
