Iola 2017

Anyone from the barn heading to Iola this year? If you're from out of state you're probably already there. I'm fortunate to live 20 miles from the show and am looking forward to another great year of scavenging through the swap area.
In typical Iola fashion a large storm rolled through this afternoon and they're forecasting another for tomorrow. After that it looks like smooth sailing. Maybe bump into some of you there.

i got here, traffic was awful around madison and people need to learn how to pass trucks then get back over in the right... Got some cheese and new glarus beer so everything is much better haha. Except the hotels pool/hot tub is broke....

I wanted to go, but have too much to get done at home, and I know the weather will be miserably hot there this year, plus the chance of rain.

Well hopefully everyone is OK after the storm rolled thru. 20-30 mph gusts, torrential rain and pea sized hail! Meanwhile yesterday it was like 96* and i got burnt...

I always wonder why they hold these swap meets during the hottest time of the year.

Most swap meets are small enough to cover in a couple hours, but this is so true for a large one like Iola. They need to pick a cooler time of the year.
