I have been lurking for a bit , but I thought I would de-cloak. My father has given me a 1931 Deluxe Roadster that he restored. It is excellent shape, ( runs better than my 1991 F150) . It has joined my 1948 F1 1/2 ton with a factory short stake bed in the garage. Of course the lawn mowers are now outside under a tarp. A few things need to be tweeked and I need to locate the correct jack, but so far it has been a lot of fun. My children like it even though they were half frozen after a ride in the rumble seat last week.

I will continue to read and learn.

Thank you for the great site.

Welcome to the hobby. Plan on expanding your garage for the next one... and the mowers.I don't want to be a party-pooper, but read the past threads on the dangers of rumble seats. Two cheap precautions are to somehow fasten the rumble lid so it can't lunge forward in a panic stop. Another is to buy a piece of the pipe insulating foam they sell at hardware stores and push it on to the front opening of the rumble area when in use. In panic stops or collisions it will save some teeth.

Welcome to the Ford Barn. There is a LOT of very useful information here and very friendly, and helpful, people here as well.

Welcome Jim!, I also would love to see your new gem. I wish you "fun and enjoyment" with the roadster. Happy New Year too!,--- Pete.
