Introduction

Been on here for a little while. Thought I would give an introduction. Currently I have a 1930 Model A coupe that I bought off of someone on the Ford Barn forum. It is an older restoration but should be lots of fun this summer. I also have a 1927 Ford roadster that I built several years back on a Model A frame and a 8BA engine. I live just south of Pittsburgh, PA.

It is great to see you training the next generation of care takers for our old cars.
Keep up the good work. Your 1930 Ford Model A Coupe is looking good.

Thanks guys... My plan is to run the car around this summer. If the hobby is to survive we have to involve kids and let them make memories too. My 14 year old son wants to drive the Model A this summer. Sure thing. What better way for him find the fun that is possible. I have an old beat up S-10 that I let him drive around our property. He absolutely loves it... I am telling him there are a lot of cooler cars out there but as of right now he is saving money to buy an S-10.

Great idea! First car I drove was a 31 AA truck I helped my dad restore. I believe I was about 13/14ish at the time. Still smile when I think of it.

Welcome to the Barn. Glad to see you kids getting involved. I actually remember standing up under my car. Don't ask me how I remember that though. But glad I have the memory about it.

Thanks. My son is very interested and my youngest daughter wants to help too. My middle daughter has no interest. It is fun to have them help but sometimes I have to sneak out to the garage.
