Bick in New Zealand

Well-known member
A friend of mine has come up with a couple of patches for International Model A Day.
Paul is a Model A owner, who has the 1930 Tudor Delivery featured recently in the Restorer and a LHD 31 slantscreen town sedan.

He can be contacted at:

Paul Robert: sales@robertembroideries.co.nz cost is

World Map NZ$19.95
Australia / New Zealand $17.95
Plus postage. The cost is a reflection of the low production run.

Should these not have the date on them ?
MIKE :)

They are just following what has been done in previous years, with a change in body style. I guess the important date is there, 2012.

Cheers

Hey Bick, great looking patches, but what is the item on the front of the rear fender, just above the running board? Vern

'Kickplate' ; to 'protect' the fender/mudguard, but really like most do dahs, just to look nice. A lot of vintage cars ''Down Under' had these more than step plates.
Bick might show a photo of a great original set he has for his Coupe.
Tom

That was a further testament to the One Ford plan, the Focus is built in all of Ford’s major production regions globally.

Here are the ones Tom very generously gave me for my Coupe. They were also known as 'Cathedral Windows' for obvious reasons.

If any of you are still toying with the idea of getting a patch for the 2012 Model A Day, I took Bick's advice and ordered one from Robert Embroidery. It arrived today. It looks great! The detail in the coupe is very nice. The background isn't embroidered, but that makes the car and the world map stand out more. The black border is fully embroidered. The text is a brighter gold than we've had in the past but the brighter color drags your attention right to it. It is a little more expensive than what Bruce was able to do in the past, but I think it is worth it.

Hi Tom,

I contacted them at the e-mail that Bick listed sales@robertembroideries.co.nz telling them I was interested in placing an order. They shot me back an e-mail the next day saying that the e-mail was all I needed to do to place an order. I even got the patch before my payment was finalized! Fantastic service!!

Robert

What was the final cost (including the exchange rate, postage, etc)? I can't spring for 20 of them like I did last year, but I'd like to get a few.

Wow !
I am impressed !
I had trouble selling batches of twenty for $2.25, shipping included,($45 for 20), WITH ANY and ALL extra cash going to MODEL A YOUTH, for scholarships and restorations,
and some guys are willing to pay over $300 for twenty, profits going to the vendor?

Don't foget INTERNATIONAL MODEL A FORD DAY is Saturday, Sept 22.
Have a nice drive !

I had trouble getting the patches last year. First it was off, then it was on. If it wasn't for Bruce from Ohio who volunteered at the last minute to handle the mailing, we wouldn't have received them at all.

If the event and patches were marketed and promoted in the spring or earlier, perhaps sales would do quite well.

That was two years ago when Bruce of Ohio volunteered to do in in May.

We are planning on a fall colors tour from Anchorage to Seward, 300 mile round trip.

The guys/gals were looking forward to patches this year again, but at $20 a pop, they may re-think it.

Carl: Are you going to have your AA in running condition by Saturday for the trip?
