I'm 6 ft, approx. 225 lbs with a good beer muscle stomach. My '29 roadster is not very comfortable to drive. The car is fully restored
with what I believe are over padded seat & back rest. I need to look into
having the cushions deflated some what because I sure ain't going to get smaller.
The unrestored '31 roadster is a whole different animal. The
seat & back rest are pretty much worn out so that creates extra room.
And I think I read somewhere that the '30-'31 cars have an extra inch or so of leg room over the '28-'29 models. Even with the worn out seat the '31 is 10 times more comfortable then the '29.
Another thing that will
help with the '29 is raising the steering wheel up some. One of my many
on going projects is a wooden steering wheel with an aluminum spider for the '29. With the spider dished enough to raise the wheel up approx. 1" or more. Every little bit helps.
