On a 29 Tudor how much space is there supposed to be between the bottom of the gas tank and the interior cowl panel?

Here's the front top of that same kick panel. Notice that the binding stops inches before the front edge. I don't know if this was common, or if it was the end of the roll of binding?
Since this is a June 1928 Tudor the choke rod bracket is placed further ahead of where your 1929 bracket is mounted.
