Interesting Read

This is the tip of the iceberg; as lawyers get involved, many cosmetically restored cars will have to be upgraded. There is no reason for any car/truck not to have its safety equipment inspected by an impartial party. if the hobby doesn't police itself on this ,here comes Big Brother. I really get scared by some of the patchwork on older restorations done by DIYers. Police ourselves before Big BUBBA gets involved.

If the brakes failed, it would be my guess they are hydraulic and haven't been recently serviced.

DOT 5 silicone brake fluid should be used with any antique hydraulic brake system, because it doesn't draw moisture and go bad as quickly as the common DOT 3.
