Interesting period accessory? or Junk?

I know I should do what I want as it is my car, but I am conflicted on this. Assuming I can make it work, would you keep this heater in the car or take it out? The car will be in maryland and I do not anticipate much cold weather driving. Do you find it an interesting touch? or crapping up the car?

Since you asked, I think it is an interesting touch !
It is a period piece, and not too many others have it. You can take it out in the summer time.

Jim,

As you have stated that your goal is originality, this piece is better displayed on a shelf than on your car.

Original accessories are always a welcome addition. My Packard has driving lights and one of those license plate topper. It's been in two Grand Nationals and nobody said anything. Of course seatbelts are always a given.

I guess as the holes are already in the car, I will leave it. It works on hot water so in the summer you can just switch the hoses so the water stays in the motor. I didn't know if it was something added in the 60's.

It looks like a good idea considering where you live and the holes are already there. Speaking as someone that lives in Southern California, "who needs a heater?".

Hell, I need a heater, and I'm in Pasadena! Thin blood from too many years in the miserable summer heat I guess. . .

Hey...I positively identified my heater as Montgomery ward. The restoration tv show had a guy bring in a Montgomery ward ice box {like you really put ice in it no electricity} The logo on the icebox was identical to the one on my heater.
