I went to a local swap meet Sun. and found a neat old V8 tool. It is called (valve clearance indexer) It works by removing the front mount dist., bolting this gaget on. Then cranking the motor to line up proper marks on the gauge example #2 (cyl) E (exhaust or I intake) set the proper clearance then move to the next valve. Made by NECO Products Co. New Castle, Ind. Came with the orginal box and instructions, in perfect condition. It claims to save 1 hr. on labor time for a valve job. I coulnt pass it up so I am going to try it out. I have a 59 motor on a stand with adjustable lifters in it so it will be a good test.
