Interesting Craigslist Find

Of course its all original. Kind of interesting how they used what looks like a v8 spark wire loom to run the plug wires around the engine.

Sell the Rajo head by itself and you'll only have 5,000.00 in the car. Seems like a great deal to me, wish it was closer....

Of course I'd have to see it "live" as it at least looks interesting in the pics. A little short on info but asking is free. Probably not much of a ride for me. Figure in the 50 miles one way area. Especially if it's a runner I don't think the price is too far off but again, not without a look-see.

Is that a round tube radiator? Its got the tie plate that runs athwart the core. Also has 26-27 rear axle for the wire wheels... still bet she strolls right along! ws

In my opinion with everything that's been done to the engine and chassis it doesn't seem right for a touring body but it would make a fantastic speedster.

I'd take that body off and have a great speedster. My garage is full otherwise I'd be on it. It's only an hour from me

That last picture is almost 3 years old. How recent are the rest?
Has anyone taken a look yet?

Well folks it looks like someone reallised that after they sold the RAJO head, the distributor, the wire wheels & hubs, the wind wings & the trunk & rear bumper, they would have about $2000 in a prety respectable looking touring. I contacted the seller & it has been, as expected, sold.

If you drove it you probably would want the head left in place & the wheels make it so you can use the power.

The one below has the same head & a cross drive mag. It has lots of hill climbing ability & its speed is limited only by fear of the wheels coming apart. It is encouraging to pass even more powerful cars on a hill in a dosile looking touring. ( I need to find a good deal on a set of McLaren wires)

What would be wrong with having a RAJO head on a tourer? That way you could carry alot of people & still be able to drive up hills. Speedsters, in my mind at least are like, automatic social outcast "I have no friends & those i do have, have drivers licenses or would rather take the bus that be seen with me" car. (implying i theoretically should have a single seater speedster) Only popular people have tourers.

Dont forget the conservatives with the fordor sedans LOL! BTW... just ordered my bowler and goggles for next summer! Im definitely a T for Two kinda guy! ws

If your car had higher sides you could fit 2 passengers if they were willing to sit on each others knees. Do not want them to fall out or anything.

My A speedster was similar to bills but had working doors. I'm not a fan of the ones that look like a sheet of plywood with some gawdy leather chairs bolted down.

I dont get the double decker thing... Theres no interior yet and the seat back/top will have a rolled edge over the top. ws

Bill I really dig yours I'm just not a fan of running boards so I prefer doors for ease of access. Yours looks more like a traditional race car rather than the normal plywood speedster.

I'm seriously considering an adapter to make my Rajo speedster able to carry two more folks -- why have just two folks riding in a dangerously fast, dangerously under-braked car when you can have four?
