Hi Barners, I have a intake manifold with the following numbers on the bottom side 40-6520-B and on top a 3 inside a circle it is aluminum, is this correct for either 1934 or 37 or both?
Thank you in advance.
Gary.

Richard is correct as usual. The main difference is that the 1934 manifold mounts the generator significantly higher.

Could have also mentioned that most 1935 intakes have the same outward appearance as a 34 HOWEVER the hole under the fuel pump stand on a 34 is sort of "football-shaped" whereas the 1935 is "round" for the below-the-manifold baffle tube/flange to drop into, and there is a relief in the bottom of the fuel pump stand to clear the flange on the tube; the 1934 has the oil baffles in the FILLER TUBE, and the opening at the bottom matches the shape of the manifold where the stand mounts. The 1935 probably has a 48- part number....

KenCT PM'd me to let me know that what I posted before was not entirely correct.
I had posted that the 1935 manifold has a relief for the lip of the baffle tube, when in fact the relief is in the bottom of the fuel pump stand. Accordingly, 1934 fuel pump stands are different than 1935's in that respect. The oil filler tubes are also
different; the 1934 has baffles in the tube, whereas 1935's do not.

Ken: Thanks for reminding me that I am not 100% !!!

These intakes were refereed to as "Camel backs" and were used by stock car racers to Cheet alittle by hollowing out the inside and running it as a 360 deg intake, also bored out for a 2gc carb. I still have mine. Didn't idel very well.

I thank all of you for your input. The generator mount height has cleared up the belt problem I have been having. Thanks again.
Gary.
