Intake gaskets

I discovered air leaks at the intake manifold gasket and the gasket at the base of the carb on my 1930 coupe. I will be ordering new gaskets. Is there anything else I will need for the gasket-changing process...nuts, bolts, screws, a case of Diet Coke? What are the best gaskets to get? Is any gasket sealer used? I will be taking the intake and exhaust manifolds to the machine shop to be shaved. I don't want to take everything apart until I have the gaskets as I take the coupe out for a spin daily.

if they are old manifolds i dont bother messing with them due to the fact that they take heat and warp. when using new manifolds they do not need to be resurfaced for a level plane. i like the new porcelin coated exhaust manifold that just came out for a few xtra buckaroos.. we use the copper gaskets, new studs, brass nuts and new concave washers. i also use gland rings when possible and that little insert pipe that fits in the flange along with a new exhaust clamp.. paint the intake green and youll have one fine looking r/s of the motor with a good seal.. plus the copper carb base gasket
no sealer at all
