intake gasket sealer

Hi Barners, is it advisable to use a gasket sealant on a felpro intake? if so what kind do you reccomend ? (1937 block)

No sealant of any kind is necessary on the valve chamber cover (intake).

Give both sides of the gasket a smear of grease; it aids the sealing capabilities, and considerably eases removal further down the track. Brian

no sealer needed just will make it harder to get off next time.

YES to Brian, works good on and off later .....OLD...BILL

Hylomar on both sides of the gasket will insure easy removal if needed, and a positive, leakproof seal in the mean time. the gasket can be removed/installed numerous times, with out having to reapply anymore Hylomar...
