Insurance?

NABCO, I have had J C TAYLOR ins since June 2000 on my 31 TUDOR. Had 1 claim for $2800.00 and no questions asked and no price increase. Loaned car to X- CUP great race and had to raise ins to 300,000 coverage for race and they sent back info all good and no extra charge. I have never had a rate increase. I have agreed value at 18,000.00 and all good so far . My 29 roadster is with Hagerty and value at 25,000.00 here price is 180.00 per year. My rate on 31 Tudor and 77 jeep cj5 is 205.00 per year with J C taylor for boyh cars. Have fun modelAtony tony white Lafayette, LA

I have Hagerty because their policy allows driving the car other than club functions and they have been very easy to work with.

Grundy? Never again! Poor customer service is all I will say.

I just received a quote on line with Hagerty and saw the words "Guaranteed value" and not "agreed value". This seems different words for agreed value. I also looked at the driving and seems as though they allow driving for other than club sanctioned events. For my purposes it seems better then Grundy.

interesting........... all insurance companies have a specific limit on mileage per year

however, have never heard of one actually check the mileage or one's odometer

for what all of that is worth.........................!

From the Hagerty website-

"Guaranteed Value™ Coverage
In the event of a covered total loss, you receive every cent of your car’s insured value.* No depreciation. No messing around. No hassle.

Flexible Usage
Our policy allows you occasional pleasure use with no fixed mileage restrictions**. With Hagerty, you can go for a weekend drive, take your vehicle up to the local ice cream shop or attend unlimited events and cruises. "

See for yourself on their website- https://www.hagerty.com/Insurance/Classic-Car-Insurance

Hagerty also states right in the policy that you may drive your Model A to work now and then to show it off to your coworkers. Just not every day.

couldnt agree more-was going to switch from JC and I ended up running like Forrest Gump!

my buddy had a total loss claim with grundy about 2009....they paid "agreed value" no problem which was 35K...i purchased the car back from auction for 9K.
and restored it which is now my Lucy she is now insured for 85K...
i am still with them no reason to switch....

I found one thing interesting on the insurance, 30-31 cars were more expensive than 28-29. I have one of each and for the combined package with agreed value at about $20 each the four cars run about $450 a year from Grundy.

cars with whitewalls are valued lower:o

especially if they have yellowed over time........................!
