Hey Guy's! What's the best way to find out the value of your car for insurance reasons? The company is asking for "value of auto". I own a 1937 Ford fordor standard touring sedan ( 730C ) in very good original condition. Thanks. Don

"value of auto" most likely translates to "how much do you want to insure it for?" Over a certain amount, some companies require an appraisal.

It's important that you define 'value'........
For insurance purposes, it could be 'Actual Cash Value' (what it would sell for), or 'Stated Amount' (usually something less than ACV, if you don't want to pay the premium for full ACV), or Agreed Value (policy pays that amount for total loss, regardless of ACV)

You need to know which type policy you are buying.
