I'm installing running board trim on a 36 car and the board is not straight at the bottom. When you put a straight edge against the bottom it is a bowed in the middle. I guess from where people have stood on it. I can not figure how to mount the molding trim without the middle part of the running board showing. Any ideas, except for trying to bend the boards.

Original/correct running board stainless trim strips are curved to follow the curve in the running boards. Check your trim strips to see if they are curved. If they are straight, they are incorrect.
