Installing new wiring in my 31 Cabriolet

The power wire for the cowl lights in my wiring harness is about 8 in. long and has a male plug-in fitting at the end. It comes from the light switch. A connecting wire has a female fitting to receive the power from the 8 in. wire. My question is, how is the connecting wire routed from the engine compartment to the other side of the firewall where it will be plugged into the two cowl lights?

Thanks for your help, Ed

The wire comes in low on the driver's side, behind the kick panel. You clip the special junction piece to the frame then go under the steering box along the frame.

There is a gap in the body, next to Floorboard #1, where the wire will come up through and be behind the kick panel. Then go up.

HTH.

The part Jim shows was used originally, but you probably don't need it; just a frame clip to hold the wire on the left frame. The cowl wire then runs between the frame and floorboard up to the cowl. the wires to the right side need clips as well, one on the junction box screw. I don't remember where the other two go.

The cowl harness can also be run with the two-wire connector to the main harness and the two single wires to the cowl lights. Works either way.
