Installed side engine cover

Installed side engine cover what fun.
also front emblem next is grille trim.

Hey guys is there a kit if you want to eliminate the side engine covers and just put the hood on alone?
or do you just attach it to the grille and rear by the cowl?

Fitting the sheet metal on any of the early Fords is generally always a major chore. When things are modified it becomes a major customization project. If the car still has an original frame then at least there is some hope of getting fitment that is acceptable. Your hood sides are either modified for the louvers or they are an aftermarket stamping. Some aftermarket sheet metal is very difficult to get to fit.

Orig frame /orig sheet metal
fitmant isnt too bad .
1936 were probaly not too precision back in that day.

Most folks get their hood to cowl and radiator ajusted first then make everything else fit up. Leave bolts loose & start moving things around. Body off frame can lead to questions about shims for the body pillars to get good cowl, hood, & radiator/grill alignment.

If you look at an original 1936 unmodified hood side panel you can see that yours are not in original form.

I'm not saying that this is true for all cars but a lot of these old cars are made up from parts from several different cars even though they may be the same year of manufacture. If you look at assembly line films of the era. The front end was set up on the frame before the body drop but they had nice new stuff that hadn't been banged around America for 80+ years too. Few of the old original fenders haven't had cracks welded up a time or two. Father time takes his toll.

true thanks!
