Installation of Running Board Trim

Anyone have any lesson learned or installation techniques for 31 ford running board trim. Purchased set from Mikes A Affordable. Parts are 1 & 3/16 inch wide my boards are 1 & 5/16 inch wide not including the mat thickness. Vendor says this is only size available. Any help appreciated.

Probably not what you want to hear but you will get better results with the one piece mat that incorporates the bead. I've seen too many of the other style where the bead has come loose. The skinny strip of rubber loses the bond over time.

Marco has posted some excellent pictures of the running board trim.
Might try the search feature to see if you can find them.
 
You need to find another vendor. There are two , -and possibly three different manufacturers of trim. Seek out Bob Burdick's trim if you want the most accurate reproduction.
 
Yes Bob Burdick's pieces are excellent. I got the trim for a 1930 and it was the only one that fit properly and used the proper bolts. I'll be getting my trim for my 28 from him. 949-310-4088
