Like butter guys!! Thanks! Rears this weekend and
hopefully my spring in by then. Just took flywheel and
plate to get balanced and lightened the fly by 30lbs.

OOh shes pretty.

My AA tires came touching, managed to get the tubes in them and put abut 5lbs of air in them and let them sit for a week or more. Deflated them and they stayed poofed out - makes setting that lock-ring so much easier when the tire naturally wants to spring against it.

Thanks, SeaSlug! I had a buddy come by so I put a few lbs in each tube and had him spread tire a little at a time and put tubes in. I place stem in rim at the bottom and put vise grips lightly on stem. Placed trash bag under top portion of tire, placed knees on both sides and pushed the top bead on. Mount and air up!!

I took some 1"X 1" scraps of wood and made three 2" long blocks. Wedge them in between the beads to hold them ajar to get the tubes in. They can be moved around as required. Then once the tube in in place, just air them up to suit your taste.

Just got the rears on by myself. Different approach....slide uninflated tube in small clinched bead area. Inflate a little, straddle with knees and two plucks with tire iron done!

Motor and trans in this weekend!!! I have a 50 acre field to test and tweek him!

"Inner Tube" - sounds like there must be a matching "Outer Tube" :)

In the old 1930's shop manuals I grew up with the "Inner Tube" came with a matching "Shoe". It did take me awhile to discover that in reference to automobile wheels, "Shoe" actually meant what we today call "Tire" !

I'll have to keep looking to find a reference to "Outer Tube" as meaning Tire.
