The unrestored 1929 155B Town Sedan I owned for awhile had several sets of initials carved in the steering wheel.

Do you suppose those initials are the girls he seduced in the car? Sorta like the wild west gun fighters who carved their gun stocks?

Hey 2 many, did you ever try to make love in the front seat of a A coupe? Quite a challenge, even for a rangy teenager! Mike, that a '30 coupe? Those are my initials...

Mine has someone's initials carved into it. I was thinking of restoring the wheel when I thought about all the people that must of touched that wheel. I didn't restore the wheel, so when I am driving my car all those "hands" are with me for the ride!

tudor has the right idea. My greatest regret is replacing the steering wheel on my grandfather tractor when I restored it. Old wheels are a badge of honor, and they now stay on my cars.

I have been thinking about carving initials and date of ownership on the underside of my steering wheel, just so somebody 50 years from now will have some history to ponder.

My31 roadster has a series of slashes carved in the steering wheel. Also the dash (Gas tank) had 5 cow 7 calf scratched in it. It was from a small rural town in ND. I assumed it was used to check the pasture as well as for romance on Saturday night, The dash is sanded down and painted over, but the steering wheel is still original for all to see.
