These cars are simple, it doesn’t take a scientist to get them to run. Someone complained repeatedly on BaT about non-original style points. These things aren’t hard to fix, and this car would have been a buy at $8500. I’ve never seen a group more afraid of a dead battery and moth holes than this!
Can’t tell you how many estate cars I’ve seen that the heirs stored them outside. They don’t know how to start or drive them and they push them outside. Seen some nice restorations quickly deteriorate.
This one is not bad considering, but clearly neglected since restoration.
I was hired to get a restored car running that sat outside in the mud for many years. The paint and upholstery were completely ruined. The tires popped when I tried to pump them up. It also does them no good to not be run for many years, even if stored indoors.
Finally got the car home. It appears to be very nice. No time to do any work on it right now, maybe next week. I will say, the interior cloth material is the cheapest, thinnest material I have ever seen. It needs to go, even if it wasn't water stained.
Hello, congratulations, true many younger people can’t drive a standard shift, add spark and gas control and separate start switch , really be confused.Good luck on your project.
