Drove my A today to the MAFCV, Model A Ford Club of Victoria, IMAD outing, 206Km one way. The old Tudor did well on the way there. On the way home, it did 180 Km well, After that, not so good. Sounds like a rod bearing has seen its last Km. Nursed it home, and tomorrow, start pulling it down to investigate. The fun side of owning old cars.

I’m impressed by the use of side curtains on so many vehicles. I find mine reduce outward visibility. I wonder if anyone has improved them with larger plastic windows.

Hopefully it's not a rod bearing but if it is hopefully nothing else got damaged.
The engine is coming out and being replaced with a rebuilt engine. The new engine has a balanced crank, V8 clutch, stipe 330 cam and a 5.5:1 head. now have an excuse to fit one of my rebuilt spares, even though it was not in my plans to do an engine change in the Tudor. I was hoping it would last until my roadster was back on the road, and then take the Tudor off the road for restoration, but things happen and plans change.
