I’m Stoked !!
I got to drive my 1950 F-3 truck for the first time. Did I say I’m STOKED !!
I had to overcome a few problems before we hit the road. Seems the fuel Tank is gunked up so I had to improvise and temp tank. Then the fuel pump will not provide enough fuel pressure. I strapped the temp fuel tank to the roof and gravity feed fuel to the carburetor. This shortened the road trip to just around the block. I wish I had a picture !!
Found out the brakes worked and I have an unsynchronized 4 speed transmission. I got it up to 3rd gear and must have been doing 15 MPH. I’m not sure if it will do 50 MPH. Also found out the speedometer doesn’t work nor does the generator. It’s a good thing I love working on this old stuff.
A big THANK YOU to Ford Barn for all your good advice that helped get the truck this far. I'm sure there will be more questions to come.
