I'm new here, project '41 pickup..

1941pickup

Today I bought a 1941 half ton pickup, just missing a few things like a frame, a motor, a ******, a hood, a grille, a bed, but other than that its pretty complete!
I don't expect it to be complete any time soon, as I am budgetarily challenged like most of us, but I am building it one piece at a time..

Old Flatheads never die!:D

Scotty,
That's a nice year for sure, and you've got your work cut out for you! Good luck, lots of help here, just not monetarily. ;)

Thanks !
Hoping I can get someone to give up some parts from their stash to get this old truck back on the road!

Welcome to the FordBarn, sounds like a fun project, just don't do like Jonny Cash when you build it "one piece at a time".:);)

Heres what I'm NOT interested in

Fiberglass fenders, hoods, anything...

Steel is real, anything else is Tupperware.

I would love to say if Henry didn't make it I don't want it, but I'm trying to be realistic, going for 90 percent original, I have the original seat and instruments!

But everything else is pretty much gone..

Its gotta be a flathead, but I want a five speed to make it a daily driver.

And like so many 41's I want the '40 look, hey its my truck, right?

Lets see some pics of what you have!

Here's mine:

I am pretty sure all this will buff right out..

Yeah you got alot of work there but I've seen much worse brought back to beauty! Take it all apart, get a sand blaster, save what you can, replace the parts that are too far gone. Consider that truck a life time project, it will come along quicker than you think!
