I'm having trunk opening problems?

Hey guys, I have a strange question. I just picked up a 1951 Custom Deluxe Victoria and I am unable to figure out how to open the trunk. I can't find a handle inside, and I can't find a lock on the trunk itself. So, anybody know how to do it? I'd greatly appreciate it!

By any chance is that a flapper hiding the keyhole on the trunk?

I definitely don't think I would have looked there. They look the same, so in essence that should be correct. I'll check it out tomorrow. Thanks!

When you turn the key to open the trunk, it is equipped with counter balanced hinges so there is no opening lever.
