Ignition switch

I'm in the process of waking up the '20T that's been hibernating since 1995. I got the car without a key, so I ordered one from Lang's based on the number 52 I found on the lock, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. It's still a 3-position lock meaning from the center position one step to the left or to right.

Now that maybe a really stupid question, but shouldn't it be a 5-position lock, meaning from left to right:

BATT - DIM - OFF - ON - MAG

I can not get the switch to either the BATT nor the MAG position. Is my switch still locked despite the fact that I can turn the key freely or what gives?

The key turns to either BAT or MAG; OFF being in the middle

The lever turns to DIM - OFF - ON

Turn the key to BAT & with a little turn of the crank a coil should buzz if there is a battery in the car. Be sure the left (spark) lever is all the way UP!
