ignition switch

1965 mercury comet, with switch off and key taken out , all accesories radio etc still work ,would this be a defective ignition switch?
 
It may be just the locking tumbler in the switch. Try the old dissassembly-clean-lube-reassembly to see if it gets better.
 
If you need new, I have it, N.O.S. -- Ignition Switch & Tumbler....
