1. Forgot to mention that when I called the Petronix technician years ago, I told them I had a 4 cylinder Model A engine with a higher compression vintage Model A Police head, a higher lift Stipe 330 cam, a standard "original"distributor, with "original" type solid metal spark plug connectors.
2. After the Petronix technician explained lots of things, I just bought what he recommended; i.e.,
The Petronix no. 40111, 40,000 volts, 1.5 Ohms, which Petronix recommends for (8) cylinder engines and (4) & (6) cylinder racing engines.
3. Petronix also had at that time a Flame Thrower coil with 40,000 volts, with ("3") Ohms which Petronix recommended for non-racing (4) & (6) cylinder engines.
4. Petronix advertised at that time that with increased Flamethrower spark, one can use larger spark plug gaps for better gas mileage, added power, and smoother response.
5. I use Oreilly's 3X plugs with 0.035 plug gap for "instant" starting with no problems, and plugs and combustion chambers stay clean.
