idle compansator

ok i ordered the a/c kickup soleniod how does it get wired i have a vintage air system does it go from the switch or the compressor

you would want it hooked to the wire that goes to the compressor clutch ---that is how it was done when the cars were younger and air was added, another method (if the car was so equipped) was a vacuum solenoid that turned on the vac advance when the air was on, or if it had a vacuum retard it would turn it off when AC clutch was on ( advancing the spark usually speeds up the engine)
