Identifying 32 Dome Light

I have read that 32 Fords had a different dome light between standard and deluxe models. I have bought a 32 sedan with an oval light at the rear. Was wondering if this particular light is a Ford original or an aftermarket light. Any info appreciated.

It sure looks like the one in my early '32 4 door deluxe sedan. It also looks like the one shown on page 6-27 of "The 1932 Ford Book" (I hope you have a copy). If it is not original you would have to compare them side by side in person to tell.

My '32 Victoria has the same light... it's an original deluxe sedan light fixture. You got a nice one.

It's an original, including the wood surround and the steel mounting tabs.
