Found this in the StreetRod I bought out of an estate sale. Can anyone tell me what it is? Is it even an automotive tool?

Going to stick my neck out on this one................

Street Rods have been defined as an individuals personal taste of how a vehicle should be............that includes sometimes a lot of fabrication.
With that in mind, I guess I would look around and under your vehicle you purchased, because looking at the picture, it looks like it could be one of those fabricated tools that is needed to do something with the previous owners fabrication.

??

It looks like a tool for taking off spinners on wire wheels like off a Jaguar or on older MG, or Aston Marton???

OR it is a Capitulator Wrench to tighten the loafing bolt on the thermaregameter!!!

Like a fuel filter remover because it looks like a house water filter tool

House water filter tool seems like a good guess to me. But why was it left in the car? Who knows!

There was no cap over the lug nuts, but maybe had been removed prior. Could be.

I've had the car six years, been all over it, haven't seen anything that this thing would fit.

It's a Billet Specialties Hex Cap Removal Wrench. Lots of them listed on eBay and other similar places. Walmart even sells them.
