Identify this hood? I think '41 or '42?

I can't positively identify this hood, so was hoping you guys could help me out.

It's been in storage for over 55 years, so I'm sure it's not a reproduction of any kind, yet most all of the NOS metal I've seen from Ford was brown primered, but this one is bare steel. It came out of an old Ford dealership originally, then put in storage. Obviously not '30s, and it's not a '40, so I'm thinking a '41 or '42? It doesn't seem to match the contours of the '46-'48.

I think 1941. For sure not 46-48 as it's too narrow. If it's 42 there should be two holes to mount the Ford emblem.

1942 Ford Hood shown.
Note, 1941 and 1942 Hoods are 2 Piece.
1946 to 1948 are 3 Piece.

The underside looks the same as mine ('41), with holes for the small V8 badge and the trim below it.

Thanks, guys. It must be a '41 because there aren't any holes for the 2 tabs on the '42 emblem. I've had lots of NOS sheetmetal dating back to the '30s, and it's always been either brown or black primered, so seems a bit odd that this is bare steel. But I'm pretty sure nobody was producing replacement sheetmetal for these cars back in the early '60s....or even now for that matter.

i think that's a 41 also, the 42 hoods drop down more in front.

Yes 41 . I’ve got nos frt fenders , doors , etc all are red / brown in color with yellow part number?
