Ideas for Replacement Interior 48 Ford sedan

Have a 48 Ford tudor sedan street rod w/OEM seats (recovered @ 20 yrs ago). Looking for ideas to replace them with fold down front buckets (maybe w/small center console) and complete rear seat (maybe w/built-in armrest). Rather than "reinvent the wheel", I figured I'd ask here first. Seems most folks here have fully restored cars, but I wanted an OEM outside look, but a "streetrod" drive line, a/c, and an updated, but conservative, traditional, interior. Many thanks!!

Early to mid-60s T-bird, Galaxie, early Mustang would be a good place to start IMO for fold-down buckets that look good, not too modern. A console is a good idea or the seats look too small. Early '60s Comet consoles look good, but are expensive and hard to find.

Do you have a pull-a-part wrecking yard in your area? If yes, then go there with the measurements of your seats and start looking around. It's also a good place to get your steering column, and power brake unit.

I used LeBaron Bonney. Their kits are high quality, and if you need help, they know how. They remade front seat back covers free twice for me when the seams wouldn't hold. A local trim shop helped me. We steamed the covers, and the slipped easily over the new padding. For a catalog, call them at 800/221-5408
