I have a B/W 3 speed overdrive ****** in my cellar that I will be installing very shortly into my 55 Ford. ...The ****** case numbers are T86 F1.....My question is ...what does the F1 stand for ?
I was thinking it was a series number meaning that every time a ****** change was made that a new casting letter was used ???
What do you think? thanks,John in CT

Hi....I don't have the answer to that question...However ,I am trying to use my T86-AA trans in a 59 pick up....trouble is,I need a clutch throw out fork....do you have any suggestions??

I don`t know what the AA stands for but on my T86 F1 with overdrive I put it in my 55 Ford without any issue and used a clutch fork from a 55 t-bird. Hope this helps.....the T-Bird clutch fork should be fairly easy to obtain from Hills restoration in Racine OH. Tel # 800-562-1955............John

P.S. tell Hills it is being used on a T86,they might be familiar with that ******.
