I have this old hub puller which has no brand or manufacturer markings on it.The number 429 is stamped on it in two places. Anyone know the manufacturer of this strong old tool? Thanks------John

What is your puller doing on MY workbench??

Oops. Sorry. You can actually see a part of the workbench there. It's not mine.

I have this old brake drum puller that says "KEN TOOL" and "T-500-H" on the handle.
Don't know if this helps, but here's a picture.

Show the underside of the puller...does the area under the big cone have a grooved cavity to take arms or does it end in 2-3" diameter female threads for a hub on some really old car?
Are there any numbers forged into the metal on any of the parts?

I will add a photo of the underside in the morning---fingers are spring loaded within the cone. Thanks for all the help- John

Here we go

This is a picture of mine, hopefully. I got it years ago from an old Ford dealership mechanic. I never knew the manufacturer as all it says is "Keep Screw Well oiled",or something like that on the handle. Looks like mayby you are missing the ring on it that holds the fingers from spreading. Also comes with brass nuts that fit on axle. Definetly made for Ford rear hubs on my 37 and a 46 I had,how earlier than Early V8 I do not know. If you are going to sell it I am very interested. If not I would advise you not to loan out to Ford friends, rather offer to help them or do the pulling and take it home. Don't ask how I know this. This puller makes the original KR Wilson one and its reproduction seem like a toy.

So AHA!

Snap-on Dreanaught!
It came with three lug bolt legs for non-Fords, and a pair of arms that grip the groove in hub for Ford pulling. A big forged ring with setscrew prevents the Ford legs from spreading in use.
I bought mine years ago missing the ring, just recently scored the ring by dumb luck, and need to reunite them and test.
The part numbers of the S-o, forged into everything, is something sequential like 3456.

Hey 37 Coupe and everyone else----wirebrushed a bit today and found "Keep Screw Well oiled", stamped in. Does yours have 429 stamped on it as well?

Thank you everyone for all the input. John
