I thought this was neat - model flathead V8

I have 3D printed all the pieces for this model. I thought it would look nice on my desk. I am hoping that the hardware kit will be back in stock soon so that I can complete it. Otherwise, I will piece the hardware together myself.

I believe this project has been ongoing for some time. What a neat outcome! All of this work and effort, ONLY to have the engine turning in the wrong direction. Surely this can be corrected. I love it!!

Very nice. I wonder if it could be done in a clear plastic medium - kind of like the Visible V-8 models from when I was a kid?

Here is the one that I put together about 12 years ago.

I guess it was snowing, no photo shows

Maybe because it was made in Australia where they drive on the left side of the road.(Tongue in cheek)

Be nice to have one, will this be available?

Ron,
The files are available for free on thingiverse.com, but they won't do you any good unless you have a 3D printer, or you want to pay a company to print all the pieces, which wouldn't be cheap. There are many pieces to this model and creating it involves hundreds of hours of print time. It really would be nice if a working model like this was readily available without the need to create it all.

I figgered as much, probably be too expensive to mass produce.. The price of new aluminum heads is getting prett high as well. Back in the 60's we couldn't use aftermarket heads on the 258 stockcar, so we brazed up the exhaust side of the stock head. Gave us over 8:1 but the 400JR kept closing the spark plug, so then we had to move the olug. making a fixture for that. Hard to find a place to braze the heads tho!!
