i know where there is a complete 1947 v-8 and 3-speed taken out of a '47pickup, non-molested,bone stock. can you all give me some ball-park figures on its possible monetary value??
 
If it is original to the car\truck it's probably a 59A engine, if it runs or atleast turns over somebody would love to have it! That is a good motor to hop up. I'm sure somebody would pay $500.00 for it, depends on condition, miles, other factors.
 
The engine alone is worth at least 500 if it has a good block and maybe more if it happens to be a good running low mileage engine. If the trans is a floor shift with good gears and a wide fork top maybe another 400-500. I see vendors selling just the wide fork shifter tops for 200 or more.
 
It is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. I would not give anything for a engine that is not running and not torn down where one can see if it is cracked, burned up etc.
