I need an exploded diagram Ford-o-matic

In particular i need the diagrams of Valvebodies of a 53-54 ford, case marking 1P-7003-K.

Now i already have the entire rebuild manual for Ford/Cruise-O-matics which has helped significantly in the rebuild process however were having problems with the valves orientation and the diagrams in the manual are not exactly the same as the transmission. close but different in many ways.

We paid careful attention as we pulled it down, but now (as its not operating correctly) were double guessing ourselves. we've had the oil in and out 5 times, trying to problem solve using the flow diagrams and valve arrangements but to no avail.

Help much appreciated.

The manual we have is found here http://www.tocmp.com/manuals/Ford/1958/Service/04/FordOMaticandCruiseOMaticT/04-002.html but its not acurate.

I have a few items that may help but they might not answer all of your questions. The breakdown in the Ford Chassis parts book for 1949 thru 1953 is basic and doesn't show the valves out of the body. I do have a copy of the 1935 to 1953 Motors repair manual that has photographs of the parts laid out in an order of removal for the upper portion and the main portion. I don't know if I can scan them properly for posting. You really need the old Ford/Mercury Ford-O-Matic/Merc-O-Matic manual that was for those transmissions but I don't have a copy. I see them on E-pay now and then. Is the above link the only references you have or do you have access to others?

Here's a couple of pages from early (printed 11/24/50) Ford-O-Matic shop manual.

Added higher resolution diagrams.

The first diagram is what I have in the Motor's Manual but the second one goes beyond.

I can see a few of those valves that could be turned around. Your definitely not getting pressure where you need it for the drive servo if the sleeve and the pressure regulator check out OK.

Thanks for all the replys. I got a set of images specific to 54's too.
Thanks to Vintage trans and gear, brentwood Ca.

Is there any chance anyone has a scan of the governor assembly in the output shaft?? again the parts we have do not match the book.

Just to recap mine is a 53-54 1P-K trans. Our manual shows more parts than we actually have.

41Fordor, no thankyou thats all i need. I just wanted to check i wasn't missing a spring but i think that only applies to later transmissions. All back together for the millionth time.
Now just need to workout why its slipping in reverse, and locking up in full throttle low.
At least it hauls arse in Drive.
yes I said arse.
