Update : I re-torqued the head. It still bubbles like a fish tank aerator. I won't be using it until the head is off and I can check it out.

And while the head is coming off, there is the "I might as well" list:

1. Replace the distributor with a rebuilt one with original points setup
2. Replace the ignition switch with a real nice 29 pop-out switch I have

Update: Patrick is coming over next week to do a leak down test on my engine. We should know what the deal is after that. I will let you know what we find.

Easy check that may or may not have anything to do with it, see what happens with the fan belt off.
