Huskster door glass?

Hey, Everybody!
I'm building a huckster closed cab body! Has anyone setup their
doors with window glass? I have heard of people using a leather
strap to move the glass up and down. If anyone can help me out
with some how-to information and photos that would be great!

Thanks, HRD!

This T truck (Morton?) used a ratchet style stop for various window levels... ws

Think a leather belt with a buckle. The leather strap is attached to the bottom of the glass and comes up the inside of the door to the top over a smoothed edge and down the outside of the door where there is a pin of sorts sticking out of the wood that the holes in the leather go on. As you pull the leather strap down it lifts the glass up and put the nearest hole in the strap over the pin or nail , this stops the glass sliding down again.

This is how I did the windows in my 22 coupe. Similar to the original. Holes in the strap and a button kind of thing to hook it on. Hope this helps some.

This 1912 Rolls Royce has the same setup to raise & lower the windows. The straps are covered with brocade & embroidery & have tassels on the ends though & the peg on the inside of the door is actual ivory. Otherwise it works exactly as the T system shown.

I had the local glass shop cut safety glass to my dimensions which were close to original specs. I made the bottom channels by bending some 16 or 18 gauge sheet and fastened the straps with screws and nuts. I bought felt channels from one of the 'T' vendors for the windows to slide in.
