Huckster bumper

Howdy all, This weekend was spent comfortably on a cushion, in front of my beloved...Dremel in hand as i grinded, sanded and worked on my front bumper. Then it hit me, my bumper has the curved ends that i haven't seen on any other A. I came in the house and got out my 3 catalogs showing A bumpers and mine aint one of 'em :( I found one on e-bay just like mine and it's listed as a 1930 model A bumper. Anyone have info on that? My big Henry's Lady poster has no front bumpers like mine either. Thanks guys.

Yours is the improved aftermarket 5 MPH crash bumper that was all the rage when R. Nader's father was stiring things up. It is not Ford factory issue.

Thanks J. I did not know that. And i didn't know Nader had a teacher-father to get him started, to pass down his soapbox and gavel.

I don't think the one on eBay has the additional spring behind it like the picture above, which would make it not as functional, IMHO.

Years ago I saw an aftermarket "fits All" bumper. Wish I had bought it. It had a backing spring and the mounts slid sideways to fit any bumper arms.

By looking @ the picture it also shows your mounting bar is not original or has been cut off short..
