I just recieved delivery of a set of new hubcaps for my tudor from macs. I was wondering if there is any trick to puting them on because Ive spent well over two hours without managing to getting them on. Any Help would be Much appriciated

Not sure about Mac's hubcaps, but I no longer buy from Mac's since everything I bought from them was poor quality, and often did not fit. There are several makers of hub caps for the 28-29, and some are much better than others.

I bought the cheap ones also. I then watched them fly off in the Parade. Snyders Antique Auto sells some good ones that fit right.

The little tabs on the hubcap that go into the wheel must be bent some for a good tight fit. I also placed a few drops of clear silicone rubber on the edge of the hubcap where it fits next to the rim. This reduces rattles. Remember the Ford name on the hubcap can be read in the correct orentation with the valve stem at the 12 Oclock position. This was done so that when the spare tire was mounted on the car could read Ford and water would not get into the rim around the valve stem.
