Can anyone point me to an appropriate (and cheap) hub puller to remove the rear drums from my 1930 Tudor?

Thanks

Darn Pete, if you didnt live so far away i could lend you mine, but its the 3 legged type and its heavy, im in calif and the shipping back and forth would be out of site, maybe some one else on here has one you can borrow. any one?

I use the three legged type ,I know a lot of people don't think it is good. It works good for me, but it is not cheep. Bill S.

Pete check and see if you got drums with the groove around the hub or the shoulder. I bit the bullet and bought the K R Wilson puller for 150.00 not giving a thought that the other drum on the other side was different (it had a shoulder) and the K R wIlson wouldn't work. I bought the cheapie from Snyders that works on the shoulder hub. Now, I got one of each. Live and learn I guess. I'd lend it to ya, but I'm in Pennsylvania

I have this type puller ( great for old MoPars and Nashes ), but I've been reluctant to use it on the A; I'm concerned about possibly distorting the lug-flange of the drum...

Is this a valid concern, or am I being too cautious ?

I am not sure, but I think this one was designed by Rainmaker Ron.

I have had decent luck with these. Not as good as the KRW, but they do work. You can usually pick them up on e-bay pretty cheap. Rod

I use a harmonic balancer puller that I got from the local parts store for 15.99. It works like a charm!

I use a 6" Snap=On two arm puller. I have used this puller many times on the rear hubs and it works fine with the assistance of an impact gun. It can also be used for many other things as well. It is very high quality and very adjustable for length and width of application. It will work with either type of rear hub.

The vendors all have it for around thirty dollars.
They come in two vesions.
Bratton seems to offer two types for 1928 - 1931.

If you pull the hub once, you will probably have need to pull it again and its always good to have the right tool available.
