Hub puller (again)

Yesterday I started a thread asking about rear-wheel hub pullers.

I forgot to state that my 1930 Tudor brakes were converted to hydraulic by an unknown previous owner. The hub and drum appear to be 1946-1948.

What kind of hub puller do I need?

Same, no difference between Model A pullers and later V8 pullers. Just get on that pulls on the hub ring and not the wheel studs. If you get one that pulls on studs, you risk, breaking studs, warping the hub/drum, or breaking the hub/drum.

Also avoid the knocker type. This type threads on the axle, then hit with hammer. This type you risk damaging axle threads.

I have had no problems with the three arm puller. For sure no problems with the type of hub on the hyd. drums. Bill S.

Get the KR Wilson puller. It will never damage your axle or hub. Not a place to use a cheap tool. Works fine on V8 hubs.
