I have a 48 mercury coup ( Monarch). Is there a difference between Ford or mercury hubcaps is in size where mounting on the rims also are the rims different Thanks for any info

Hmmmm .....Welcome aboard! Being a "Monarch", it looks like you & the car MAY be Canadian. That's why it's important to mention your general location over to the left, under your USER NAME.
Go look at the BLACK BAND at the top of EVERY PAGE of FordBarn. At the far left, you'll see "User CP". Click on "User CP"
On the LEFT side where it says "YOUR PROFILE" in the GRAY bar, click on "Edit Your Details" to ad your general location.

The mounting tabs for the small 8" hubcap should be the same.
The '48 Ford, I believe had 16x4.5" or 16x5" wheels.
I believe the '48 Merc had 15x5 or 15x5.5" wheels.

1946-1948 Canadian Monarch Hubcap. Notice the inside of these Hubcaps reduces the mounting ring to the same size as the same model Ford Hubcaps. Therefore, the Ford, Mercury and Monarch Hubcaps all fit the same size Early Ford Wheel, whether it is a 15" or 16" Wheel.
