Edsel hubcap spinners are fine as frog's hair so, since mine were missing I thought I would try to make some.
This is what they looked like when I bought the car:

You did good with your copy of the Edsel Spinner. I don't think that many people could tell the difference between the Original and your copies. Congratulations.

Here is the picture of an Original 1958 Edsel Spinner Wheel Cover. Somehow, it disappeared from my earlier Post, so here it is again. The only difference that I can see from the ones that you made, is that the originals are raised in the centre. Regardless, yours look real good, and at a fraction of the price of the genuine articles.

Thanks again. Do you think I should take them off and turn the center on the lathe so it stands off or just leave them? I did locktight them on =]

Have you got the Disc that is located behind this Trim? It is a metal Disc, that was painted Body Color to match the car and is held on by the 3 Screws that support the Spinner. I don't think that many people could tell the difference between your Home-made ones and the Originals.

No, I don't have the disk. It is really nice looking in your pic. That first pic is all I had that came with the car.

The earlier photo with the Green Centre was one that I have in my Files. This photo is of my 1958 Edsel Spinner Wheel Cover that I have in my collection of Hubcaps. My brother bought the bare Hubcap when he visited the USA back in the Eighties. A friend in Florida sent me the Diecast Spinner section, then a local Edsel collector gave me the Painted Disc. My spinner Hubcap was complete. I also have a Plain 58 Edsel Wheel Cover, as well as a Plain 59 model. All I need now is the 59 Spinner Wheel Cover. I collect FoMoCo Wheel Covers and display them in my Garage.
